When the temps rise there is always water to fish. Southern Vermont is home to the Battenkill river valley which is roots of American fly fishing and home to both the Orvis company and the American Museum of Fly Fishing in Manchester. There are five rivers, and many ponds and lakes within a short drive of Manchester that provide anglers with a variety of different opportunities to catch their favorite freshwater species.
